Dr. Polk loves working with children and adolescents. She has a niche to getting children and adolescents to engage in therapy. She is skilled at treating various emotional and behavioral difficulties, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, grief & loss, anger and aggression, adjustment issues, suicidal thoughts or behaviors, self-injury, and school challenges. Dr. Polk uses varies approaches in treatment which includes cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems. She believes each individual is different and tailors’ treatment as such. She also enjoys neuropsychological and psychological assessments. She desires to use the findings in assessments to aid in therapeutic treatment.
