Meraj Baig is a licensed and board certified Physician Assistant with outstanding clinical skills treating both pediatric population and adults. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. Her desire and enthusiasm for learning led her further to pursue medical training in Orlando, FL at Nova Southeastern University. It was here she graduated with honors and obtained her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies.
Prior to her MMS degree, Meraj worked in the department of Pediatric Neurology at Rush University Medical Center as a clinical research coordinator. She worked closely with parents and pediatric patients who exhibit developmental and learning disabilities including Fragile X syndrome, Down syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has also worked as a certified caregiver to adults with short-term and long-term cognitive impairment, many who also had psychiatric diagnosis, providing compassionate patient service.
Meraj has a true passion for the field of psychiatry and mental health and aims to provide patient-centered, compassionate care to her patients. She also enjoys working with all age groups and her personable and enthusiastic personality makes it easier for patients to engage with her. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, exploring new fitness and natural health trends, and adventuring around Chicago’s restaurants. Meraj also has privileges to provide psychiatric services at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward-Elmhurst Health in Naperville, and at Presence Mercy Medical Behavioral Health in Aurora, IL. As a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry PA, she aims to provide compassionate behavioral health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
