Adrian Zhubi, MD, MS

Dr. Zhubi is a board-certified psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), recognized for his clinical excellence, academic contributions, and commitment to advancing the field of psychiatry through neuroscience research.
Dr.Zhubi earned his medical degree from the University of Prishtina Medical School and completed postdoctoral training in Neuroscience at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC), where he conducted groundbreaking research on the epigenetic mechanisms underlying schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and autism spectrum disorder. His work, based on human post-mortem brain tissue, has contributed to a deeper understanding of the biological basis of complex psychiatric illnesses.
Dr. Zhubi completed residency in Adult Psychiatry at UIC, where he was part of the prestigious Neuroscience Research Track. During this time, he also earned a Master of Science in Neuroscience, further enhancing his expertise in translational psychiatry and neurobiology.
Dr. Zhubi is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). His research has been presented at leading national and international conferences, including American Psychiatric Association (APA), Society for Neuroscience (SfN), American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP), and the Albanian- American Medical Society (AAMS).
Dr.Zhubi served for 5 years as an attending psychiatrist at OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa, IL, delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care to underserved populations across central Illinois. Since 2019, Dr. Zhubi has been part of Advanced Behavioral Health Services and continues to offer expert psychiatric care at Endeavor Health Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville, IL, where he treats patients in both inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) settings.
He is known for his integrated, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to care, with a strong focus on improving mental health outcomes through personalized treatment strategies. Dr. Zhubi’s clinical philosophy bridges cutting-edge neuroscience with empathetic, patient-centered care.
